Google is tracking victims of the Afghanistan-Pakistan earthquake

Google relaunched its Person Finder to help identify those affected by the 7.5-magnitude earthquake that hit Afghanistan on Monday, sending tremors in Pakistan and India. More than 100 are confirmed dead, and the number is expected to rise.

As countries begin to assess the extent of the damage, Google's tool allows users to search for a loved one by name. The tool essentially crowdsources information to build a public database.

Google also deployed the tool after the Nepal earthquake earlier this year.

There is, however, one important caveat: Google says it does not review or verify the information.
